1st day Hike example:  The Felix Trail

July 19

2nd day Hike example - Öpfelchüechliweg

The "apple fritter" trail will take you over lush alpine pastures, blooming meadows and through secluded woodland.  It  reveals a sensational view of the mountains with the famous Eiger Northface directly ahead of you.  At six information boards you can test or deepen your knowledge on fruit!

A finishing highlight to this hike could be a stop at Restaurant Brandegg where you can treat yourself on a nice sun terrace to the delicious local specialties such as warm apple fritters or fresh fruit juices

July 20

3rd Day walk option - Floral Nature Trail

Along the entire length of this trail over 100 different flowers and herbs are growing and labeled for you to learn about.  The path winds between two lakes.

July 21

Mountain Biking  Options  - Top Ten Mountain Bike Runs

Grindelwald's TOP TEN bike runs are ready since spring 1995. These runs can be carried out at your leisure, without being timed. Therefore it is not the time taken but the actual taking part and the finishing of the course that counts. Hence it is suitable not only for enthusiastic athletes, but also for hobby riders and families.

160 km of well marked mountain-bike routes divided into three levels span the fascinating landscape around Grindelwald. There is also a training course at the Upper Glacier.

Ride up your "ninethousander" in the Grindelwald valley

1. Bussalp 9 km / 880 m
2. Waldspitz 10 km / 975 m
3. Bort 7 km / 627 m
4. First 15 km / 1224 m
5. Grosse Scheidegg 10 km / 1019 m
6. Marmorbruch 4 km / 167 m
7. Alpiglen 8 km / 673 m
8. Kleine Scheidegg 12 km / 1118 m
9. Männlichen 14 km / 1286 m
10. Hintisberg 12 km / 752 m

This is how it works: The rider receives a card at the starting point which contains 10 squares corresponding to the 10 different runs. Before setting out for each new run, the corresponding field must be stamped with the start stamp. At the end of the run the card is again stamped to prove completion of the run.

Everyone has a chance to win!  Keep these goals in mind:  Bronze medal for achieving 1'300 m difference in height, silver medal for achieving 4'000 m difference in height and gold medal and "TOP TEN Bike Grindelwald" certificate for achieving all 10 runs (8'721 m).
